A car lockout call gets priority dispatch. The moment you confirm your location, the closest van is routed to you and you get an ETA in minutes, not vague promises. Most Phoenix-area unlocks arrive in under 30 minutes and are completed in five to ten. If a child or pet is in the vehicle, tell dispatch immediately — we escalate those calls and stay on the line while the van is en route. We do NOT drill locks for a routine lockout; drilling is a last-resort technique on damaged locks, never a first pass. If a technician quotes drilling on a healthy car lock, that's a red flag and you should call us instead.

A working replacement means three things done correctly: cutting the mechanical blade to the vehicle's exact bitting, pairing the transponder chip to the immobilizer so the engine will start, and (for remotes) syncing the RF or BLE fob to the body control module. Programming isn't one process — it's dozens. Some vehicles pair via a simple on-board sequence (turn key, press brake, insert new key). Most modern vehicles require an OBD-II programmer speaking the manufacturer's protocol, and some require a security-access PIN pulled from the VIN. We carry current-firmware Autel MaxiIM, XTool X100 PAD, and AutoProPad G2 units, and we keep subscriptions active so newly-released model years work the day they land in Phoenix driveways. Push-to-start proximity systems get particular care: a single wrong step during coding can lock the immobilizer and require a dealer reset, so we take the extra minute to confirm the procedure before we start.

Ignition failure comes in three flavors: worn wafers (the cylinder springs are shot and the key won't turn without wiggling), broken key extraction (the blade snapped and half is stuck inside), and full cylinder failure (nothing will turn the cylinder anymore). We handle all three on-scene. For rebuilds, we replace the wafer set and lubricate to spec. For replacements, we source OEM or OEM-equivalent cylinders and rekey them to your existing key — no need to carry a second key for the doors. On vehicles with immobilizer-linked ignitions (most 2000+ vehicles), we also verify the transponder chain still communicates after the cylinder is replaced.
