Your home security starts at the front door. Whether you just closed on a new house, lost a set of keys, or want to swap tired knob locks for modern smart deadbolts, Liza Locksmith handles residential work across the Phoenix metro. We arrive in a marked van, protect your finishes with drop cloths, and leave your locks operating better than they did before we started.

Standard residential lockouts take 5 to 15 minutes once the technician is on-scene. We work on Kwikset, Schlage, Baldwin, Yale, Weiser, Defiant, and every other consumer brand common in Arizona homes. High-security cylinders (Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, Abloy) take longer and sometimes require different techniques — mention the brand when you call so dispatch sends the right van. If you rent, we'll ask for ID and something showing the address (a utility bill or lease photo will do); this protects both you and your landlord.
Learn moreDuring a rekey, we pull the cylinder from each lock, replace the internal pin stack with new pins keyed to a fresh cut, and reinstall. Every rekeyed lock in the house can be set to the same new key (one-key convenience), or split into groups (front and back on one key, garage side-door on another). Every old key immediately stops working. We can also verify each deadbolt and knob is properly aligned, tighten loose strikes, and flag any lock that's too worn to hold a rekey reliably — in those rare cases a lock change is the honest recommendation, not a rekey we don't trust.
Learn moreDuring a lock change we remove the existing hardware, inspect the door prep and strike alignment (misalignment is a top cause of premature lock failure in Phoenix — doors move seasonally), install the new lock, and pin it to your desired key. If your door prep is nonstandard we'll say so before drilling anything — we don't make you buy a repair you didn't ask for.
Learn moreWe inspect the door thickness, existing prep (or lack of it), and jamb condition before quoting. New drills use proper jigs to preserve door integrity. Jambs get reinforced strike plates with 3-inch screws that anchor into framing, not just the trim — this alone is the single most effective upgrade against forced-entry attacks in stucco Phoenix construction.
Learn moreThe physical install is the easy part. The harder part is doing the pairing correctly the first time — Wi-Fi credentials, hub linking, guest code policy, auto-lock timing, and backup mechanical key setup. We handle all of it and leave you with a documented setup you can actually manage.
